Lawrence Ginocchio Aviation Scholarship

Who Should Apply?
Undergraduate students who are enrolled or have been accepted into a full-time aviation management program at a two or four-year institution are the ideal candidates. These students should be at least in their sophomore year and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Applicants are expected to have a strong passion for aviation and must display qualities such as honesty, integrity, and selflessness.
Amount of Scholarship
Five scholarships, each amounting to $4,500, will be awarded to cover educational expenses.
When and Where is the Scholarship Given?
The scholarship will be granted during the fall at NBAA-BACE.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
What Are the Other Prerequisites?
The application package must be complete, including:
- an essay,
- a resume,
- an official transcript, and
- two signed letters of recommendation.
The scholarship must be utilized by December 31, 2026, otherwise, the award may be forfeited. This scholarship is provided annually by NBAA Charities and the family and friends of Lawrence Ginocchio, with each of the five recipients receiving $4,500. The recipients must be enrolled at an institution that's a member of NBAA/University Aviation Association (UAA).
This scholarship, established in 2001, honors the late Lawrence “Larry” Ginocchio for his significant contributions to the business aviation community. The scholarship aims to recognize those individuals who, like Larry Ginocchio, embody honesty, integrity, and selflessness, and who have a deep passion for aviation. Their interest in or involvement with business aviation should positively impact others' lives.
The scholarship is open to U.S. citizens regardless of gender, race, religious beliefs, or nationality.
