The Women Divers Hall of Fame (WDHOF) is a nonprofit organization, classified as a 501(c)3, that is committed to recognizing and promoting the significant contributions made by exceptional women divers. The WDHOF offers a range of opportunities including education, mentorship, financial aid, and career advancement to the global diving community. Annually, the WDHOF presents scholarships and training grants that offer financial and educational assistance to individuals of all ages.
A scholarship worth $1,500 will be granted.
- This scholarship is intended for a female diver who is currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S. or Canada, studying journalism, graphic arts, photography, or videography. The recipient should aim to utilize her education/training to benefit the ocean environment or ocean community.
Potential uses for the scholarship.
- The scholarship funds can be applied towards tuition fees, attendance at a workshop in journalism, graphic arts, or photography, or an internship program at a recognized university.
The scholarship cannot be used for student loan repayments, housing, or previously incurred expenses.
- The scholarship funds are not eligible to be used for repayment of student loans, housing costs, or expenses that have already been incurred.
The application must include detailed plans.
- The application must provide detailed plans on how the scholarship will be utilized, and how the results of the scholarship will be used to benefit the ocean environment or ocean community.
